About Michael

As to me, I’m a member of the Horror Writers Association with recent appearances in the Creepy podcast, The Last Girls Club, Penumbric Speculative Fiction Magazine, and the anthology Dark Corners of the Old Dominion, for which I also served as an editor. More stories are on the way, including a novel or two.

When it comes to reading interests, horror, sci-fi, thrillers, and fantasy have always lit up my brain-o-cules. I especially like it when those stories poke at where our identities, traditions, and faiths tend to crack. What do we do then?

This whole storytelling thing has been going on for a while now. During these strange years, I’ve had stories published under other names, including Raine Sellers, and I earned an MA in English with a focus in Creative Writing. Some of my short stories and poems (poetry happened a long, long, and forgotten time ago) have earned awards and nice mentions. And beyond horror, sci-fi, and fantasy—where I play now—I’ve spun out some travel stories and personal essays. I’ve even taught a bit of writing, and those are some of my best memories.

Also, my parents named me after a ghost. Really. But I don’t blame them for the sleepless nights.

There are other things to blame for that …
