Michael Rook is a horror and dark sci-fi author with recent appearances on the Creepy podcast and in various publications, including Last Girls’ Club, Penumbric Speculative Fiction Magazine, and the anthology Dark Corners of the Old Dominion, for which he also served as an editor. He has an MA in Creative Writing and is a member of the Horror Writers Association (Virginia Chapter).
Rook’s reading interests range from contemporary thrillers to literary classics, including lots of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. He appreciates a very dark tale that makes you think about big ideas and the big questions.
His writing life stretches back two decades. The early years include horror stories published under Raine Sellers, as well as travel stories and personal essays. He’s also taught a bit of writing.
